There was a time when washing cars was a time consuming and boring activity. For those who could not bear to indulge in this work, the neighborhood odd job man or the automated car wash was the answer. These options did not yield satisfactory results as the odd job man worked at the task as an ‘odd job’ while the early car washes caused more damage to the car paint because of the use of stiff brushes. Car washes since those early contraptions of the 1950s have evolved significantly. You have self service coin operated, ‘in bay or tunnel washes as the basic options to choose from. Better technology has produced better quality brushes and detergents which no longer damage the car exterior. In a self service car wash the driver pays for using the service by putting money in a slot machine. In this form of car wash, the amount of coins inserted in the slot machine limits the time that each driver can use a particular appliance which he has to personally use. In the ‘In bay’ variety, the car remains stationery and the brushes, jets and dryers move over the car. A tunnel system incorporates a moving conveyor belt on which the car remains stationery with fixed appliances mounted on either side of the belt doing the job.

A popular variation of an automated car wash are the Bikini Car wash, a sure fire crowd puller. Bikini clad girls, washing cars, gyrating to music, are the unique selling point of this approach which is garnering great success. The movie, ‘Bikini Carwash Company’ popularized this fun form of washing cars. Bikini carwashes are also organized for noble causes. Indeed car wash has come a long way in its evolution from a stand alone activity to a community fundraiser event. Best car wax.

A good car polish keeps your car looking new and shiny. Other than appearance, car polish functions as paint protection and prevent premature failure of car paint. Bird poo, oil, dust and grime are some of the pollutants that accumulate on the outer surface of a car over a period of time. Nearly all of these pollutants are acidic in nature, not easily washable and due to their corrosive properties, cause the paint to fail exposing the bare car metal below. Exposed metal leads to corrosion, rust and reduction in the life of the car as also its resale value.

Heat burns wax onto the finish, with ugly and hard to remove results.

If your car has detailing you do not want to wax, cover the parts with masking tape. Using a damp sponge, apply the car wax to the car. Small circles work best for older cars, and long strokes work best for new cars with the newer types of finish that are now on the market. Do not let extra wax get caught in the seams and joins of the exterior, and avoid waxing any dull plastic detailing.

Think about yourself going to the beach. When you get down there what is the first thing you normally do?Normally you put on sunscreen to stop you from burning. You can think of the car wax as the sunscreen to protect your car

For the average person who does not know where to go for the best deal on car wax they can look online. Besides the big stores like Walmart, Autozone, and Target, consumers can find specialty stores online. The specialty stores are not only easy to find but they usually have the best deal for consumers that are looking for car wax.

Whenever I wax my car, it does not seem to stay shiny as long as when I have a car detailing place do it. I am guessing that I just do not have the same skill as them, regardless of the kind of car wax I would use. But here is how the experts tell you to apply car wax. Start with a freshly washed car. Do not wax in the direct sunlight or if it is too cold.

You may be wondering how? Well, your customers will surely feel safe if your establishment have high resolution cameras. When they feel safe, they know that their vehicles are also well protected. They will trust your facility better than your competitors and they would rather come back to your place than take their car to an unprotected place. They can also see that you are properly monitoring your operations, from security to how your employees take care of their cars. At the same time, you are also protected from some customers who will claim damages even if you have not caused them and who will claim that something was stolen from their vehicles.

Ensure that you car is clean and dry before you initiate the process of waxing your car. It is advisable to ensure you buy a non abrasive car wax so your car does not get damaged in any way Read the directions clearly given on the package and first test it on a small area.

While using liquid car wax, first shake the bottle well, and put small amount of the wax on the sponge to apply evenly on the car. A general approach is to start with the top and move the bottom panels subsequently as it is known that the bottom panels of a car are always dirtier. It is advisable to apply a thin layer evenly all over the car and care should be taken that the layer is not too thick which could reduce the lustre of the car.

The requirements to wax your car, is a good quality wax, a clean towel and a small sponge. Also your car needs to be clean and dry before you start waxing it. Be careful as to take a non abrasive car wax so as to not damage your car. Read the directions clearly given on the package and first test it on a small area.

If you choose a liquid polish, it should be shaken so as the liquid is mixed thoroughly and then it should be applied on a sponge which then is to be applied all over the car evenly.

How could you let this happen?” When did not applying car wax become such a sin? All the other car owners sitting and waiting for their cars peered at me over their newspapers. I have nothing but adoration for my car. I had no idea I had treated it so poorly. The car wax man put me on the straight and narrow path to car owner goodness.

Car wax forms a protective layer on your car.

You can use any sort of bucket, provided that it holds at least a couple of gallons of water. However, a bucket and sponge would be no good without a little bit of car wash soap!

There are many different types of car wash soap that you can buy, but make sure that the kind you pick is specially formulated for washing your vehicle. It is best to stick with the real thing, since house hold soaps could ruin the finish on your car. Now that you have all of the car wash supplies you need for a basic wash you can begin.

If you want to make your car look even more amazing, there are a couple of other things you can look into.

It is used after washing the car on regular basis. After the application of car wax you will realize that the beauty of the car has enhanced.

There are various companies which manufacture car wax and there are different formulas which are used to make car waxes. Best one is the one which is of high quality and good brand. For the proper maintenance of the car, you should never compromise with the quality of the wax.

Most experts consider Carnauba wax to be of very good quality. This Car wax is relatively expensive but is still considered to be amongst the best because it sticks better and is easier to buff. Even if the quality of the Car Wax is good, it still requires hard work while applying. Before applying the Car Wax, it is recommended to read the instructions on the package. Instead of applying the Car wax on the entire surface at once, it should be first tested on a patch.

The very first step before applying a wax coating is to wash your vehicle thoroughly. There are a multiple of reasons to park your car away from the extreme weather because direct sunrays and a strong current of wind will wipe off the layers of applied wax before you could even relish the results.

The Steps

Use a damp wax sponge by applying a large coin sized wax in small circles. Apply wax to different sections but remember the path you took. Be careful when applying wax near the joints of car doors and hood as the accumulating wax can harm the levers.

Be sure to park your car in a shady and cool spot next. Picking a cool day is optimal so that the wax does not dry too quickly for you to remove it effectively.

A damp sponge, and a soft terry cloth rag are all you will need for waxing. You will have to dip your sponge into the wax, and get a dollop the size of a half dollar coin on it.

Beginning on one side of the car, rub on the car wax with small circular motions.

Washing your car will prevent build up of everything that you don’t want- bugs, salt build up, etc. Using car polish or wax protects the paint from fading and makes your car look shiny.

I like to add washing the car to my weekly routine. I tend to save change in one of the compartments of my car and use the change I accumulate at the self-serve car wash. Most of the time, I like to wash the car once per week and wax it on Valentine’s Day, Memorial Day, and Labor Day.

I use quarters that I get back from going through drive up windows to wash the car each week. It does not cost much and only takes about five minutes per week, but it will add so much life onto the car. Let’s get back on task to car polishing, though.

Car polish application is actually a simple process. Be certain that your car has been thoroughly washed and dried before your begin the application process.

So if a car does not get washed and waxed on a regular basis it will begin to look dull from the elements of the world like acid rain.

There was a recent study that had determined the panhandle of Florida had the most air pollution than any other area of any other state. There is acid rain all over the country even where pollution levels are at a minimum. They found out that the rain was just as acidic as orange juice and coke. Think about if someone spilled coke on your car.

Spray on, wipe off car wax is the newest kind of car wax. This kind of car wax can be applied to a car that is still wet from washing but the shine does not last very long.

What kind of car wax should you use on your car? You need to consider things like the size and age of your car, how much work you want to put into waxing your car, and how much time you want to take doing it. Newer cars should still have a good finish and may need only a light spray car wax to enhance the shine. For an older car with a dull finish, using a liquid car wax will clean as well as shine the paint on your car.

In the past few years, most new cars come with a clear coat of transparent protective top coat. Does this eliminate the need to use car wax on your car?Environmental factors such as sunlight, road debris, and rain will eat away at the finish of your car so car wax can still be used to improve the shine on your car. Adding a coat of wax after washing your car can help to protect the paint on your car.

Car waxes are not all the same. These include liquid, paste, and the spray on, wipe off types.

If the car is parked in the sun or for some other reason the paint is hot to the touch, cool the car off before you wax.

In the new era the car wax acts as an extra layer of protection and it helps maintain the glossiness of the car.

The problem with the clear coat is that it’s a reflective layer of paint that is super thin. Clear coat is only a very thin layer of paint that is reflective. With it being so thin it causes every little imperfection to stand out like a bad hair day. Cars often turn dull looking if car wax and washes do not happen often enough.

Once the wax clouds up, remove it with your clean cloth. Shake out the cloth a lot to avoid wax build up.

Use the opportunity to inspect your car, as you wash and put on car wax. Things that start small can easily become corroded or damaged. You can either take on the project of repairing those things, or take it to a professional.

Always remember to wash and dry your car before applying any kind of wax. Before waxing, park your car on a cool spot away from the rays of the sun and never expose it to cold weather.

The Steps

Just take a small amount of wax on a damp sponge and apply it in circles. Apply wax to different sections but remember the path you took. It is also important to realize that wax in the cracks or seams along the hood and doors can harm the functioning of these car parts.

Polishing the car before sale may even increase its resale value.

Don’t ever start polishing before reading the instructions. These instructions are written to safeguard your precious investment and may contain an important clue that can prevent the vehicle from getting damaged. Also, never polish the car in a cold or humid environment. As a first step, park your car under a shade.

Full Service Car Wash: There are a lot of great things about using a professional car wash. The obvious thing is that it’s ridiculously easy. and gets your car ridiculously clean. It also uses less water than washing at home, with about 11 gallons of water being used for compact cars, and 20 for trucks and SUVs. However, some full-service car washes can be unfriendly on the environment.

Picking a cool day is optimal so that the wax does not dry too quickly for you to remove it effectively.

If you are waxing from a tub you will need a damp sponge, as well as a soft terry cloth rag. An old towel will work well as long as it does not have any residue. Dip your dampened sponge into the wax, keeping a dollop the size of a half dollar coin on there.

Starting on one side of the car, rub the car wax on in small circular motions.

It will not be an oversimplification to suggest that the car polish is a variant of sand. The only major difference is that it is an abrasive substance that sticks to the outer frame and makes it shiny. Due to oxidization, certain car colors are prone to get rusty quickly. To protect the exposure, the car polish acts as the first line of defense against the fury of nature. It should also be noticed that every time the car is painted, a layer of original paint is affected to a certain extent.

Florida has air pollution and acid rain is very common there. Moreover, the acidity of the acid rain is higher as compare to the citric juices. This acidity can actually damage your car paint and its color. If you know then you will never let your car stay out in rain. Car wax saves your car from acid rain and various other elements.
